More than 750 people put on their best “Born To Be Wild” attitudes and attire Saturday night at the 39th annual SCV Boys and Girls Club benefit auction.

The auction, which was held in the grassy amphitheater at Mann BioMedical Park, featured fabulous live auction items consisting of: exciting trips, fancy jewelry, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, and a car provided by Valencia Acura.

Weekend getaways, entertainment, dining, home improvement and other accessories were available through hundreds of bid boards.

The guests enjoyed an evening under the stars listening to live music from Lee & The Real Deal while savoring gourmet cuisine from Salt Creek Grille and Wolf Creek Restaurant & Brewing Company.

Master of Ceremonies Rick Chambers introduced guests to auctioneer Mark Schenfel, who quickly worked the crowd into a bidding frenzy.

Before Schenfel could auction anything off, however, Mark Justice and Maria Green celebrated the fact that they held a winning opportunity drawing ticket and got to choose any live auction item, which would be taken out of the bidding. Their pick was the Lakers VIP fan package, valued at $10,000.

A truly moving moment happened as guests at the event were presented with a video projection of parents talking about their struggles with their children and their gratitude for the club while a group club members were on the stage.

But along with producing, various different models of the 883 over the years Harley Davidson have made minor changes to their bikes in order to improve the ride. Such improvements that they have made to the bike in order to improve the bikes ride quality have included such items as an enlarged rear axle which has increased the bikes stability. They have also renewed the frame with the engine being mounted on rubber, which decreases the amount of vibration that it produces.

The other main changes that have been made on all the Sportster models and not just the 883 ones is that have a belt drive rather than a chain drive. They come with helical cut transmission gears, which has resulted in a reduction in the amount of gear whine they produce. Then this year they changed the bikes from being carburetted models instead all of the bikes in the range now have a fuel-injected engine instead.

So if you are looking for a Harley Davidson motorcycle that isn’t going to break the bank but will still offer you the same ride quality and prestige that the other Harley Davidson motorcycles have to offer. Then it is about time you seriously considered getting yourself a Harley 883.
